What it does

Why a general AI assistant does not do this

Algerian notarial practice runs on codified texts, professional procedure and formal requirements that a general model has not reliably learned. Ask one for a specific article and it will produce something plausibly formatted that may not exist. For work where a citation carries professional liability, plausible is not good enough.

Kateb is built the other way around: retrieve the source text first, answer only from what was retrieved, verify every reference before showing it, and refuse when there is no basis. The reasoning is set out in stopping a model from inventing a citation.

Built bilingual

Acts run in Arabic with French names, Latin numerals and mixed script in the same paragraph. Kateb renders both directions properly rather than mangling the text. See French, Arabic and one document.

Kateb is in beta and free to use while it develops. Features and pricing may change, and material changes are notified in advance. It is published by SOUKELY EURL and governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

A support tool, not a replacement

Kateb assists with drafting and research. The notaire remains responsible for verifying every output before it is used. The product is designed around that expectation: sources are visible, actions are reversible, and the system says when it does not know.
